I made a post a while ago asking if anyone wanted to see my [very, very rough] idea for a unification/spirk pokémon. A spirkémon, if you will.

Here it is:

Spirlash! the Unified Pokémon Ghost/Psychic type This pokémon is made of the combined spirits of two seprate pokémon, reunited after death. They are so close that they have essentially become one. Its halves communicate telepathically to decide what they want to do.

As most pokémon are based on an animal of some sort, I was thinking about animals associated with Kirk, Spock or Star Trek in general before reaching the infamous Alfa 177 canine.

So... yeah. I merged Kirk and Spock with each other and then with the unicorn dog. I also gave Spirlash some cat and lionlike features because it seems common for people to associate Spock with cats.

The name "Spirlash" is obviously from "spirk" and "slash", but in-universe it would be from "spirit" and "slash".

I assume that ingame, you could get one pokémon for each and have them both faint in the same battle in order for them to evolve into Spirlash.

If someone wants to write up stats for this thing, I would be honoured.

My cousin thought up all these starters and they were all BRILLIANT so I drew them bc they fit perfectly for pokémon pacnw...! I wanted them to be dual type, so they're water/ghost, grass/psychic, and fire/fighting I think?

I do, I have 4 pokémon right now! I have my Eevee, my Snorlax, my Dratini, and my Skitty! They're all such sweethearts, I love them all so much! =:D

As for my region, I think that makes sense. Vervia isn't a very popular region to visit due to how much more hostile a lot of the pokémon can be... but I really do love it here! We have gyms for every typing, and the elite 4 are actually more aesthetic themed than type-themed! Not to mention we have a lot of really pretty towns and biomes! And since a long time ago a bunch of different regions dumped their pokémon here to lighten their ship loads, on top of our own native pokémon, we have one of the biggest pokédex's in the world!

Ajan (Naja backwards), an evolution to Arbok

The idea just kind of came to me over the weekend. I kind of was thinking to myself about how Arbok was kind of left behind in the dust after Gen 1. Like a lot of Gen 1 Pokémon aren’t amazing on their own, wether that be actual mechanics or concept, but they at least receive some sort of love in form of a mega evolution/gigantimax or regional variant and… nothings ever been done for Arbok as seemingly badass it was made out to be in Gen 1 media.

The concept first came from the idea of the pattern on Arbok’s hood becoming the actual face and sapient creature with Arboks former head just hanging out as the tongue before I refined the concept to be the tongue pilots the rest of body and can retreat into the mouth when it is in danger. Also it’s kind of a small reference to real world king cobras eating other snakes. It’s dragon type because there is a lot of random parts of Arbok that reference dragons (e.g dragon type egg group). I originally considered Poison/Psychic or Poison/Dark because like a living face pattern is kind of psychic-y and I feel like Arbok would have just been Poison/Dark if Dark existed on Gen 1

Also I kind of figured out something that could be used to make my art look more traditional? I added a white wash using a certain brush over the main render that I might continue doing in the future

Fakémon inspired by Prince Rupert’s Drops

Heiregg and its evolution would be mythical Pokémon, and therefore given as a gift. You’d need to take Heiregg to a specific location (a forge or a special lake or something) and drop it in the water there. Once you do that, it would evolve into…

Royaburst! I wanted this thing to look really regal, given the “Prince Rupert” part of the name. It has a signature move called “Shatter” which functions like Self Destruct, but leaves stealth rocks on the other side of the field. Its ability references how the head of a Prince Rupert’s drop is virtually indestructible, but the tail is super fragile. When fighting this Pokémon, you have to find its weak points to do any damage.

Heiregg’s design is meant to resemble a dollop of molten glass, with its glowing yellow center looking like a creature in the egg. At the same time, the egg resembles the shape of Royaburst’s “crown,” to maintain cohesion between the two. Heiregg’s shiny coloration references blue flames, and just looks really cool.

Royaburst is obviously shaped like a Prince Rupert’s drop, with the “crown” completing the rounded shape of the head. It would look kind of like Nihilego in-game, partially transparent (for the same reason - it’s glass). However, its center would be opaque. Royaburst’s colors are actually based off of stress maps for a PRD, which show how a PRD is constantly in tension with itself. I thought the blue and pink from that were really pretty. The shiny simply references molten glass more, keeping things orange and fiery.

I’m really proud of these designs, and I hope you guys like them too!
